We first met Dan at the Vintage Football Fair in Birmingham. After seeing his artwork up close, the idea of working together felt like a natural fit.

Together, we've created a collection of 10 exclusive collector cards, each featuring artwork of a legendary football figure. From iconic goal scorers to cult heroes and all-time greats, every card celebrates the players who helped shape the history of the game we all love.
Customers placing online orders will receive one of these collector cards inside their package. Think of it as a little extra surprise from us - something to collect, display and enjoy alongside your latest shirt.

We caught up with Dan to understand a little bit more about how it all began, where his inspiration comes from and what's next for Dan Designs.
When did it all start and what was it that made you combine football and art?
'It all started in 2020 for me. I had a knee operation (ACL reconstruction) in the February after a football injury, then we went into lockdown in the March and I was off work recovering, so I had a lot of spare time on my hands. So, I decided to pick up an old interest in art. I started with a couple of designs just based on my interests - music, sports and film. I then opened up a shop on Etsy a few weeks later and my first sale came through within an hour. It just gave me this dopamine hit like nothing before. From that moment on, I knew I had to try and make it my full time job.
Here I am, 6 years later, partnered with the National Football Museum and stocked in official club shops. Football has and will always be a big part of my life. I played as a kid and unfortunately wasn't good enough to make it pro, so I thought I’d draw them instead! As a kid, my wall was plastered with footy posters, so it’s really cool that now I get to draw iconic moments that really mean something to people. For people to have my art on their walls is the only reason I need.'

Do you have a favourite piece of football artwork that you've created?
'It's difficult, but I think I'd pick my Ronaldinho piece. Mainly because he's my favourite player of all time, so that's a pretty cool one! Although I really like the Kane and Bellingham piece that I have created recently. No explanation needed for that one!'

What's next for Dan Designs?
'Good question! I never plan too far into the future, as you never know what’s around the corner. But, I’d love to get more clubs onboard and get my prints in more physical spaces, so I’m working hard on that. I feel truly blessed to be able to do something I love for work. So if I can just continue doing what I love, create art that people resonate with, then that’ll do for me.'
