1997/98 Fiorentina Home Football Shirt (XL) FILA #9 Batistuta

Information: Official FILA Fiorentina home football shirt, as worn by the ‘Viola’ during the 1997/98 season, when the side enjoyed a strong Serie A campaign and reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals under Alberto Malesani. This long-sleeve edition — featuring the iconic Nintendo chest sponsor and the official Liga Calcio sleeve patch — is exceptionally rare and highly sought-after by collectors, a true grail from one of Fiorentina’s most memorable eras. The reverse of the shirt boasts the nameset of club legend, Gabriel Batistuta. Widely regarded as one of Serie A’s greatest ever strikers, Batistuta became a symbol of Fiorentina’s golden years thanks to his incredible goal-scoring record and unwavering loyalty to the club. Condition: Very Good. Superb colours, material is smooth with a number of bobbles and a couple of small pulls.  No holes or stains.  Embossed manufacturer logo, stitched team badge, replica sleeve patch and sublimated chest sponsor are superb.  Player nameset on reverse has been restored by previous owner.  Faint outline of original nameset around edges of new one visible in some sections.  Faint colour run into white lettering of nameset.  Small scuff on a couple of letters of player name (see photos).  Collar, sleeves and hems are in excellent condition.
