Information: Official Adidas Sao Paulo home football shirt from the 1996 season, when the club finished 11th in Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and finished runners up in the Copa do Brasil.
In a nod to other National sporting success, the embroidered gold stars above the club badge honour the world triple jump records achieved by national hero Adhemar Ferreira da Silva in 1952 (Helsinki Olympics) and 1955 (Mexico City Pan American Games). The stars were initially only seen on amateur sports uniforms, but from 1996 were also depicted in professional football uniforms.

Condition: Excellent. Lovely bright colours, material is near mint, smooth, bobble and snag free. Superb embroidered team badge and Adhemar Ferreira da Silva’s commemorative gold stars (see notes above for history). Superb TAM sponsor on left chest and shirt reverse. Adidas logo showing signs of wear and minor loss of colour.
