Information: Official Adidas Eintracht Braunschweig home football shirt from the 1976/77 season. Jägermeister became the very first shirt sponsor in Bundesliga history in 1973. A sponsor fee of 100,000 Deutsche Mark was paid for the privilege. Shirt sponsorship was prohibited at the time but the club circumnavigated the German FA (DFB) rules replacing the club's crest with their own deer emblem. The rules were relaxed in the 1976/77 season so the Jägermeister text was added for this version. A superb piece of footballing history.
Teammates: Including Dremmler, Frank, Hozler, Hollmann & Grzyb.
Condition: Excellent. Superb colour given age of the shirt. Material is smooth and bobble free. No holes or tears. Faded Adidas logo, Jägermeister chest sponsor is in fabulous condition. Washed out Adidas neck label. Small series of pulls under right armpit. There is a noticeable mark (oil?) on the front lower right hem and some tiny markings to the 'J' of the Jägermeister chest sponsor (see photos).
Dimensions: Pit-to-Pit= 50cm / Collar-to-Hem= 60cm.
